Scoring: XIMP

South opened 3. We didn't get our 600.

3D p p 3H p is normal. After that west has a really ugly problem. Passing might even be the percentage action as weird as that seems. 4C and 3N are certainly possible bids also.

I like 3NT as East - South is w/r, and doesn't promise much at all. 3NT shows the hand type.

Still, I admit this is easier when we are shown all 4 hands...
That's impossible. No one can give more than one hundred percent. By definition that is the most anyone can give.

Justin gave me the west hand after 3H without telling the other hands, I passed.
and the result can be plotted on a graph.

I think I would pass with the west hand after 3 p p 3 p, although if I did bid it would certainly be 4 not 3NT, which I think is asking for too much help.

As east I'm almost sure I would bid 3, I don't mind either the diamond holding or the general minimum-ness for bidding 3NT, but the combination of both is just too much for me to overlook.

Definitely a tough hand.
Please let me know about any questions or interest or bug reports about GIB.
