RHO opened 2D, you're unfavourable at imps. You are playing lebensohl. Lebensohl allows you to invite/force to game very well, you have very solid agreements in this respect.

bonus question:
What's the lowest number of diamonds RHO should open to make your call a double?
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

Agree with Justin. In a sense, the better the hand the less likely I would be to double as I can always bid and back back in with a double.

I might find double more attractive in this sequence with a worse hand: K98xx, AJx, x, AJ9x

2 WTP here also. I have very good 5 carder and a mediocre 3 carder in the OM.

Also 3 after 3.

What would I do after 4 ? I somewhat prefer double to 4 as I'd like to have a 6th . Even if I am not making what ever PD bids after 4x, the opps may carry on to 5 anyhow. If PD passes 4x I am probably not unhappy.

Just my opinion... neilkaz ..

Other question: how much better would you have to make this hand such that it becomes a double?
Trying to learn, I have many questions.

I am sure I'd double 4 and I am sure I'd bid 2, but over 3 I wouldn't be surprised if I bid differently on the same season.

Over 3D its even between X and 3S for me. (if the X is pure take-out)
From Psych "I mean, Gus and I never see eye-to-eye on work stuff.
For instance, he doesn't like being used as a human shield when we're being shot at.
I happen to think it's a very noble way to meet one's maker, especially for a guy like him.
Bottom line is we never let that difference of opinion interfere with anything."

2 wtp? I would certainly double over 4, and change my hand a little and I would X over three... But with the given hand, I will only X 4.
