Given that p opened a weak two in 2nd seat being
red vs. green, double is ok.
I lead the Ace of hearts (or the king depending
on your agreements) to have a look at the table.

A♥. I want to get my partner a ruff with his stiff trump or be able to tap declarer, then put partner in to run ♠. Of course I'm probably dreaming here, but even if none of this happens, a ♥ rates to be the correct lead.

Double was obvious.
My partner should be short in clubs, so he is hardly short in hearts too. So I lead the ace for attitude, not the King for count.

The logic behind a heart is almost irrefutable. A heart or spade could be right, but some of the time a spade is right it won't be too late at trick 2. Any of the time a heart was right, a spade blew it. And obviously we are much more likely to know what is (was?) right after seeing dummy and trick 1.

I'd lead ♥K. If I have to shift to ♠ partner should read me for a stiff... he probably does already but I think this is a pretty standard agreement.

As most people lead a systemic heart (wouldn't the ♥A tell partner his Q was an entry if you lead A from AK??). Now what do you do at trick 2?

Matt, I think it's quite possible we would lead the ♥A on an auction like this with a void spade and a great trump stack. Therefore, an encouraging card should confirm the Queen, but this argument looks better in the post mortem, so I'm not underleading hearts at this point.
However, I really don't care that much if pard has the Queen or xx (with a trump).

It's not trivial, but it is fairly easy. I play ace and another trump. When I get in with the other top heart, I play a spade, in order to prevent any squeeze or endplay.
If declarer has x xx AQxx KQ10xxx, the three people who have played two more rounds of hearts will have let through an overtrick.
Edit: if declarer has the example hand I gave, partner will be squeezed down to a singleton heart by the penultimate trump. If declarer now leads a heart, I let partner win with his blank queen, and partner will play a low diamond. In due course I'll get in with the third round of diamonds to play a spade through dummy.
