Yes 3D. 3H would show extra length, 3S would suggest 3505, this seems perfect.

Disagree with 2NT, there is too much outside the suits and the clubs are bad.

Now close between 3 and P, but ok 3.

I would either with bad hearts, or a hand strong enough to bid again.

1. I like sound 2NT's, but I prefer suits with body, not a handful of aces.

Would guess to pass 3, if I must live with 2NT. Sure we could have a game, but there is no safety with such a bad suit. Also, notrumps are wrongsided.
