We met on line, we partnered at bridge and now we are partners in life. (profmom and wcb1944) We play at WP Refugees - Public Club - and we are tying the knot at the BBO WP meeting in Phoenix in Nov. One of the regulars.. mikefofva...hopefully will be free to come and officiate, and all of our bridge friends will be there.
People have asked me to post a little about who we are! Both of us were in long time marriages, with non-bridge players, and we both have been playing since we were teens. I raised over 12 kids, most handicapped and most of them adopted. I started playing bridge on line to keep my sanity through some difficult times. I have met many players over the last 10 years and it has been a wonderful experience. Bridge is a great way to know a person's character. Many people here and at yahoo bridge (many years ago) gave me hours of playing time one fall when one of my son's was dying and I had to stay awake all night. I have found many friends here and their generosity and warmth - I have found to be a blessing.

So, Steve starts flirting with me, and I didn't take it seriously, when rpmeans, says, Hey...age appropriate, height appropriate...and He plays bridge.

Steve one day says to me, "you know what you need, a blackberry or an old Jew." That made me laugh, and I began to take him seriously. Steve was a service manager for Lexus, Toyota and Infinity in the Greenwich and Westchester. Having lived in New England for 20 years, I think, well, if he can make those people happy - has to have good people skills- should be able to keep me happy. Many hours of bridge, many hours on the phone. Steve moves from NJ to OH. It was love at first sight, and we both feel we are so lucky to have found each other.

So, we are getting married at a bridge convention, seems very appropriate. Guess the way to this girl's heart is through bridge.

Debfreck is taking the reservations, and we hope everyone that attends will join us at the gazebo as we celebrate the good fortune of finding love.
