type of tourney(new option)

hi,

while hosting today i saw after downloading new beta that there is an extra option in the edit tournament window called type, can somebody tell me what is for, would like to say as far as i saw the new things it looked very promising, well done uday and all who worked on it

A similar question was posted in BBO Announcements and Special Events / Version 3.5.5 Available for testing, and let me quote Fred's reply below:

"The "type" field for tournament creation will be used
to specify things like "ACBL" (ie tournaments that will
have unique properties - in the case of the ACBL we
need to collect ACBL numbers of players, pay the ACBL
sanction fees, etc.)."
