What's your minimum hand with which you'd reopen with a 4234 red/red IMP's after

1NT(14-16)-p-2*-p;
2-p-p-?

I didn't create poll choices. I just generally wonder.
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

Both vul at imps, 4234? The least I would need is a nice minimum opening-strength hand with nothing in hearts. Even then I feel I am taking a risk, but not a huge one.
Please let me know about any questions or interest or bug reports about GIB.

I don't think hcp has too much to do with it, to a point. My hcp are under the guy with the points, and every hcp I have is about 2/3 of a hcp my partner doesn't have. I don't think the difference between my having 8 or 12 hcp is enough to make an appreciable difference in our average hcp, especially when his points are more valuable than mine.

I want a six card suit, a 5 card suit headed by something unfinessable, or a singleton in their suit. Within reasonable limits, I don't care about hcp.

For 4432 distribution, I would need, um, a courage transplant. OK, a 15 count. But mostly a courage transplant.

But as you can see, it's not a generally accepted plan. O well. You did ask what *my* minimum was.

Opps don't usually double partscores after this auction (doubling partscores at IMPs is not a good idea after all :)), I probably double more than I should. 10 or 11 good ones can rate for a double for me.

10 hcp with at least 1 A (3 Q +A will do) and no points in .
