Hi, we play this defence vs 1NT:

Dbl= Good opening
2= Both major
2= 5+major
2= 4, 5+minor
2= 4, 5+minor
2NT= Both minor

Is it any name of this defence ?

Multi Landy

Sometime people play the double against a strong 1NT to show a 4-card major with 5-card minor - this is also known as Woolsey. Some people also play this against a weak 1NT but, personally, I would not recommend this.

It's not even close to multi-landy, since 2M shows only 4, and 2 shows only 5+M instead of 6+...

It certainly isn't multi-landy, but it is quite similar.

Yesterday I was playing against a pair who played the same for their opening bids (all weak). Those crazy Dutch.
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

It is the 2/ overcalls that makes it really different from Multi-Landy.

If you take Woolsey:
dbl = 4major + 5minor
2 = both majors
2 = onesuiter major
2 = 54m
2 = 54m
and you combine the 2// calls in 2, using the 2/ calls for the 4M5m hands, the double is available for penalty...

Or if you take Vroom:
dbl =
2 =
2 = both majors
2 = 4 + 5minor
2 = 4 + 5minor
and you combine the dbl/2 calls in 2, using 2 for both majors, the double is again available for penalty...

Maybe you can call it "Modified Vroom-Woolsey with a penalty double"...

I encountered this style in a junior tournament, it was played by Norwegians. So those crazy Dutch must have gotten it from them, or indirectly from me since I reported this style to Chris Ryall's website...
