Not sure which hand you had.

South could have bid 2D, if he felt like it.

I think West was too weak for 2H - I would have passed. Because I, as East, would expect more from West for 2H (either another queen or another heart), I would have gone to 4H.

Nothing really terrible here, as far as I can tell.

All I can add is if you subscribe to the game on every hand theory, someone just bids game here. If you think that means, pard has opening hand, we got 8 card fit, I got 8 hcp I guess I bid game, it would seem so, yes?

Keep in mind I see no expert expouse this theory in writing but it seems so when you review the top class hands in top matches.

I'd prefer the hearts to be better but, as a passed hand, I'd probably bid it too expecting that ♣Jx opposite a likely 6-card suit will provide a safe haven. Passing 3♥ is clear with such a minimum call.

Missing this non-vulnerable game is not a big problem.
