7/6 and I got excited and totally did not know how to bid it

I think 2NT was a good bid. After that you have some choices, but 5♦ is not right since it rules out a 5♣ contract.

It may not be clear, but in my mind the main candidates are 4♥ which I think strongly implies a void, or 4♦ which is forcing and shows longer diamonds than clubs, in case partner is 2-2 in the minors (3♦ shows extras with longer diamonds but is not forcing). In either case partner would sign off in 5♣ and you have done your all. Indeed, even 5♣ may be too high opposite shortness in both minors such as 1-2, but I can't imagine not bidding game.

i think i'd just bid 5♣ over the 3♣, unless i was interested in slam (and i'm not)

pass-pass-1♥-4NT, WTP?

Is it slam? Perhaps, but how will we ever find out? If you want to bid slam, bid 5NT instead of 4 :D
