Nina Simone's version of Just like Tom thumb's blues . Outstanding now if I could get a copy of her CD To love somebody .

I was randomly browsing and found a Spotify list of David Gilmour's favourite guitarists. But I ended up listening to a list of David Gilmour's top solos instead.

Currently my mood is Dogs from Animals. In fact the whole of Animals. Takes me back to another dark time when it came out

I got to hear Roy Buchanan play at Georgetown's Gaston Hall shortly after this album came out. I knew he was a local but didn't know until just now that he's buried in my neighborhood cemetery.

Every year I read lists of the best albums. I usually buy a few....I don’t recognize many of the leading artists any more, but I like to discover new music. Right now I’m listening, on Tidal, to Fiona Apple Fetch the Boltcutters. It’s brilliant, the lyrics well worth listening to, and the music is pretty good as well😀

My music mood for the last week or so has been trying to put together a decent playlist of 2020, given that the curating algorithms and apps seem incapable of doing such a thing

Currently going though around 30+ albums 400 or so songs, multiple lists of recommendations (in media), and trying to find something remotely fresh and new. Lots of good stuff from people who have been round a while :)

So its anything from death metal, to pop, to country, to blues, to hiphop etc - and clearly anything recorded over the last 40-50+ years counts as a new release these days :)

Phoebe Bridgers and Cleo Sol jump to mind as two very listenable albums. Also Gorillaz new offering as always

However for something different I am enjoying Rina Sawayama - fits the bill as the newest (and most exciting) sound for me

I listen to a lot of symphonic metal, and knew Within temptation, and had watched Pimp my ride and knew Xzibit from that, but wasn't expecting to find this old collaboration

Hi, i've recently discovered Lexington Lab Band on YouTube: has a rich variety of songs covers on many artists (put a look for).

This has been my mood since I first hear it many decades ago

But even more so after a lifetime experience and the more I read the more it fits my mood by the day
