1♣ forcing systems claimed to solve this. "When you open any other bid, your hand is limited to 15 or 16 HCP." Then they proceed to recommend the same drawn out, touchy-feely, tell you opponents how to defend the hand sequences used in SAYC. For years I could do nothing about it.
Recently I put together the foundation of a possible solution. Instead of the opener holding the Mou-Mou, responder now holds it. This is one reason I call the system XXX_Cpt. Three people who do not know their partnership's assets and the "Captain of the Deal" who knows his side's assets, but whose hand remains unknown. I say it Triple X and the Captain. You can find the details those that I am confident enough to post at

I never intended to set up a relay system. Looking back at the Model Bid for this system, the SAYC 1NT Opening, I should have seen it coming. What with Stayman relay, Jacoby relay transfers, Gladiator, Mini-Flint, and Texas Transfer, which have grown up around it. I should have known better.
What I need to do now is exercise this horse. I need to bid it with and against real bridge players. I can find opponents in the Main Room at BBO. However I need a partner who can stand the rough and tumble of working with a buggy system.
If you're interested there's a standard email link on my website's home page.
I live on the US east coast and work days. I'm usually hanging around BBO between 2000 and 2200 New York City Time.
