Hi, as member of this forum, you know about the exciting new development for BBO gaming site where "full disclosure" will be used to provide complete information about opponents biddings. For FD to work, users will have to have a FD file they can load and use.

Currently we have Developmental Teams and/or Team Leaders (often just one person so far) and first drafts of the following bidding systems.

1) SAYC/BBO Basic
2) Precision
3) Moscito
4) French Standard (available now on line)

We need people to step up and volunteer to help review these FD files. Please contact either inquiry or cascade if you are willing to help. Or if you are willing to help develop other "standard" FD files (especially urgently need to establish a two-over-one GF team, or maybe two different two-over-one teams, one advanced, one simplified).

One quick suggestion which I made before:

In many cases, some of the specific bidding systems that you are describing are "owned" by third party organizations. Bridge World Standard is potentially the example: The bidding system is defined and documented by the Bridge World Magazine. In a similar fashion, it can be argued the SAYC is (was?) created by the ACBL though they have updated in a long time. I'm not sure who is responsible for documenting French Standard of Modern English...

In many ways, I believe that these organizations should assume responsibility for documenting the systems in question. Case in point: The Bridge World has a vested interest in ensuring that BWS becomes part of the standard repertiore. Potentially, the best thing to do is to focus resources on orphan systems that can't get support anywhere else. If it were me, I'd suggest focusing effort on documenting BBO Basic and Precision...

One of the things that i think is important is to get people out there to understand how to use the FD program and how to make stuff in it...almost all of the people i have played with in ACBL land have no idea that it even exists little alone how to use it!

I have sent numerous files over to people and they always say i dont know how to open them...it might be nice if BBO could have a web page with some graphics just showing the computer challenges how to use it

Probably this is a good moment to point out the WJ2005 FD file before someone starts it from scratch again.
